Proposed Bill Would Protect Intellectually Disabled People from the Death Penalty

Rep. Liz Hanbidge, D-Montgomery has introduced a new bill in the Pennsylvania State House that would shield intellectually disabled people from deceptive interrogation tactics. This bill would likely not only reduce wrongful convictions but also ensure that the judicial system does not “over-punish” individuals when applying the death penalty.
